Good Evening

Basilica of Saint Mary Major

Through Jesus, God extends his invitation to everyone for a redeemed life. But it’s up to each of us to say “yes” to that invitation. You have to choose to believe the gracious words God speaks to you.

The Pantheon

Did you know that we’re all born to worship? It’s in our DNA to seek out something greater than ourselves. But here’s the catch: sin can trick us into worshiping things that aren’t really worth it.

The Roman Forum

Jesus does not call his followers to sit on the sidelines. Just like the Father sent him into the world, he’s sending us out, empowered by his Spirit, to join in his mission of Jubilee.

The Mamertine Prison

Freedom is one of those lofty ideals that can be tricky to define. Do bars and chains make someone a captive? Can wealth and privilege truly set someone free?

The Colosseum

Let’s be real—the world is full of injustice and violence. How do you usually react to it? Some people scroll past it, trying to ignore it, while others feel overwhelmed and just shut down.

St. Peter's Basilica

Before he became Saint Peter, he was just Simon—a regular fisherman from Galilee. Simon’s journey to becoming Peter, the rock, was anything but smooth.

The Vatican Museums

The Vatican Museums are filled with some of the most incredible art in the world. The paintings, the sculptures, the architecture – each piece reflects its artist’s passion and creativity while pointing to the ultimate Creator, God.

The Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls

God’s Word is alive and powerful—like a seed that can grow into something amazing when it lands in the right spot. If you let it sink in and take root in your heart, don’t be shocked when you start to see real change happening inside you.

Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran

The Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran is dedicated to Christ in honor of two saints: John the Evangelist and John the Baptist.

The Sistine Chapel

Covering the whole altar wall of the Sistine Chapel is The Last Judgment, Michelangelo’s masterpiece depicting the second coming of Christ.

It's a great day to experience God's forgiveness.

THOUGHT

God is not angry with you.

“The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He will not constantly accuse us,
nor remain angry forever.
He does not punish us for all our sins;
he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.”
—Psalm 103:8-12

ACTION

Take a moment to reflect on God’s infinite mercy. Pray and ask God to help you fully embrace his forgiveness and to give you the strength to extend mercy to others today.

God wants to share his forgiveness with the world. He wants to do it through you. Here are some thoughts to consider as you begin your day.

THOUGHT

God wants us to forgive as he has forgiven us. Forgiveness is hard but necessary to heal your soul.

“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”—Matthew 6:14-15

ACTION

Start small. Quickly forgive a small offense today. Do so without the need for acknowledgement from the offending party.

Here is a thought about God’s distance from you.

THOUGHT

God is not far away. You only need to reach out to him.

“O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.”—Psalm 86:5

ACTION

Call to God. Seek him in your journey, not just through Rome, but through your life. He will reveal himself.

Here is a thought about God’s balance sheet.

THOUGHT

With God, there are no books to balance and no scores to settle. He has made forgiveness available to all.

“Lord, if you kept a record of our sins,
who, O Lord, could ever survive?
But you offer forgiveness,
that we might learn to fear you.”—Psalm 130:3-4

ACTION

Before you leave, write down something you thought God held against you. When you get to your destination, tear up the paper and thank God for his forgiveness in Christ.

God wants to be with you!

THOUGHT

You need only ask God to forgive you, and he will.

“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”—1 John 1:9

ACTION

Confess your sin to God today and feel his forgiveness.

Here is a thought about your response to God’s forgiveness.

THOUGHT

Forgiveness comes with responsibility.

“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”—Ephesians 4:32

ACTION

You are going to be around many people today. Practice “small forgiveness” of any slight you may experience.

Here is a thought about your value to God.

THOUGHT

Your forgiveness was not without cost.

“He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.”—Ephesians 1:7

ACTION

Reflect on your value to God. He paid such a great price to secure your forgiveness.
