Jesus does not call his followers to sit on the sidelines. Just like the Father sent him into the world, he’s sending us out, empowered by his Spirit, to join in his mission of Jubilee.
Think about the Roman Forum—it was a hub of everything “the world” represented. With its pagan temples, busy markets, law courts, and the glorification of empire, it all felt so solid and unshakeable. But from those twelve original disciples, the Gospel spread and changed everything in ways no one could have imagined.
